Year of the Quarterback profile: Servite's Travis Waller (VIDEO)
In June, Travis Waller narrowed his list of college choices to four.
Ohio State, Northwestern, Notre Dame, and Alabama made the cut. He didn't have an offer from Ohio State but he liked the Buckeyes. He didn't have an offer from Oregon either but apparently loved the Ducks because when they offered, he verbally committed less than a month later.

Strengths: The legs of Waller are a problem for the opposition. The Servite offense has been crafted around Waller's skill set and in that there's a myriad of ways for him to carry the ball in their spread offense. Fairly raw at the position, when things broke down in the passing game, Waller was inclined to use his legs in 2013.
Weaknesses: Of course there are some who believe Waller will be the best of the bunch once the 2015 class is spoken for. He lacks the experience of some of his counterparts but has excelled while learning on the fly.
Key stat: 1,293. The number of rush yards for Waller in 2013 -- nearly 108 yards per game.

Final thoughts: Waller watched his stock soar during the spring and has shown great improvement as a passer. His legs were his biggest weapon as a junior. If Waller is as good with his arm in 2014 as he was with his legs in 2013, Servite could reach heights many expect them to as a preseason top-five team in the state.
