Xavier head coach Chris Mack's 2014 recruiting class grew to three Wednesday with a verbal commitment from four-star forward Makinde London.
A Columbia, Tenn., native who is prepping at Montverde Academy in Florida for his senior year, London picked the Musketeers over Mississippi State, Miami (Fla.) and VCU.

He is rated the nation's No. 71 overall prospect by Scout.com and the 16th-best power forward.
"This is a big commitment for Xavier," Scout.com recruiting analyst Brian Snow told FoxSportsOhio.com. "London was a top priority for Xavier and a top 100 recruit. He is a stretch power forward with a lot of potential. He is a legit 6-foot-9 with length, athleticism, and the ability to handle and shoot the basketball. He needs time to get stronger and learn how to play, but London has big time upside."
London joins Lakeville (Min.) North four-star shooting guard J.P. Macura and Detroit Country Day School three-star shooting guard Edmond Sumner in Xavier's 2014 class
