MINNEAPOLIS – The Minnesota Timberwolves announced Friday that the team has released guard Jermaine Taylor. The Wolves' roster now stands at 17 players.

Taylor appeared in two preseason games and totaled 3 points, 3 rebounds and 2 assists in 12 minutes for Minnesota. The shooting guard was a 2009 second-round draft pick out of Central Florida by the Washington Wizards.

Taylor last played in the NBA in 2010-11, when he had brief stints with Houston and Sacramento.
