Wolves summer league opponents announced

The Minnesota Timberwolves announced Wednesday their three round-robin opponents under the NBA Summer League's new format.
In a tournament-style schedule that will crown the first-ever league champion, the Timberwolves will take on an NBA D-League Select team Saturday, July 13, the Phoenix Suns on Monday July, 15, and the Miami Heat on Tuesday, July 16. The league's teams then will be seeded in a tournament that runs through July 22, with each squad being guaranteed at least five total games.
Playing on the UNLV campus in Las Vegas, the NBA Summer League features primarily rookies and younger reserve players. The 2013 field includes 11 playoff teams and 10 non-playoff teams.
NBA TV will carry a selection of summer league contests, with some additional coverage available via Internet streaming. The broadcast schedule will be released at a later date.
