Wolves set franchise record for ticket sales
The Timberwolves announced Monday that their 2012-13 season ticket campaign was the most successful in its first week of any campaign since the franchise's inception.
The team sold more than 500 tickets in the first week of the "Everyone's Talking About the Timberwolves" campaign, continuing the team's trend of increased ticket sales. The Timberwolves are one of only five NBA teams to gain more than 2,000 new full season ticket holders in the past two seasons. More than 90 percent of 2011-12 season ticket holders have renewed their tickets for next season.
The campaign began at the height of the team's attendance this season. Last weekend, in games against the Lakers and the Hornets, the Timberwolves had their first back-to-back crowds of more than 20,000 fans since 1990-91. Attendance is averaging 17,517 at the Target Center this year, 14th-best in the NBA.
