MINNEAPOLIS -- The Minnesota Timberwolves knew it was coming. They just couldn't stop it.

Prior to Minnesota's 129-125 loss to the Houston Rockets at Target Center on Monday, coach Kurt Rambis called Kevin Martin one of the NBA's best in moving without the basketball. He also gushed over Martin's versatile offensive ability and admitted he presented designated defensive stopper Corey Brewer with problems.

Martin then proceeded to score a game-high 34 points as the Rockets snapped a seven-game losing streak to Western Conference opponents. Martin hit 3 of 6 shots from beyond the arc, giving him 18 games with three or more 3-pointers this season
