BULAWAYO, Zimbabwe (AP) Captain Kane Williamson blasted a century Sunday to put New Zealand in a strong position at lunch on day two of the second test against Zimbabwe.

New Zealand reached 436-4 after finishing on 329-2 at stumps on day one.

The tourists' first-day charge was led by opener Tom Latham, whose own century of 136 was the bedrock of the innings.

Williamson finally departed in the morning session of the second day on 113 after he was caught by Craig Ervine off the bowling of seamer Michael Chinouya. The other wicket to fall was Henry, who was trapped lbw by Zimbabwe captain and skipper Graeme Cremer.
