Will Kimmel goes for wild ride in ARCA race at Mobile
ARCA Racing Series driver Will Kimmel went for a wild ride during Saturday afternoon's race at Mobile International Speedway, flying out of the track and into the parking lot where he struck a passenger truck.
The incident occurred on a restart, when the throttle stuck in Kimmel's car. The speedway only features a retaining wall along the frontstretch grandstands, and as a result, Kimmel's car flew off the corner, barrel-rolled, hit a concrete jersey barrier, before coming to rest on the trailer hitch of a passenger truck.
Luckily, after the wild ride Kimmel was able to walk away from the incident unhurt. His car, on the other hand, suffered a great deal of damage.
