Arizona was awarded the No. 13 national seed and will host an NCAA Softball Regional Friday through Sunday at Hillenbrand Stadium.

The tournament opens Friday with Hawaii vs. Notre Dame at 2:30 p.m., followed by Arizona vs. North Dakota State at 5 p.m. Play will resume with three games on Saturday, starting at 3 p.m. The double-elimination tournament will conclude Sunday at 2:30 and 5 (if necessary) p.m.

North Dakota State is the Summit League champion. Arizona, Notre Dame and Hawaii are at-large selections.

If the brackets hold up as seeded and Arizona advanced, it would play against fourth-seeded Oklahoma the following week in the Super Regionals at Norman, Okla.
