TUCSON -- Talk about depth. For the second consecutive week, Arizona has had a bench player win Pac-10 Player of the Week honors.
Last week it was true freshman cornerback Shaquille Richardson, who had two interceptions at Washington State in place of the injured Trevin Wade to win the league's weekly defensive honor.
On Monday, junior quarterback Matt Scott was the Pac-10 Offensive Player of the Week after completing 18 of 22 passes for 233 yards and two touchdowns in a 44-14 win over Washington. He also ran for 65 yards on seven carries.
And now the big question of the week: Will starting quarterback Nick Foles be able to play Saturday at UCLA?
Answer: To be determined.
"Nick is mending as planned," coach Mike Stoops said at his weekly Monday news conference.
