The Minnesota Wild have agreed to terms with free agent center Jake Dowell, the team announced Tuesday night.

On Tuesday, the NHL club released the following tweet: "BREAKING: The #mnwild has agreed to terms on a two-year contract with forward Jake Dowell. Another Badger in the fold."

Dowell is a former University of Wisconsin teammate of prized NHL free agent Ryan Suter. Both men also share the same agent, Neil Sheehy.

Last winter, Dowell played 52 games for the Dallas Stars, producing a pair of goals.
