Edgar opened up a quick 22-0 lead on Shullsburg, cruising to a 36-6 victory to win its first WIAA Division 7 title. The Wildcats have now won seven titles. They last won a championship in 2010, capturing the Division 6 title.

Edgar's Alec Hafferman rushed for 126 yards and three touchdowns -- two in the first quarter -- and Karson Butt returned an interception 47 yards for a score as the Wildcats built up an insurmountable lead.

All the scoring occurred in the first half, with Hunter Matye accounting for Shullsburg's only score with a nice 9-yard touchdown reception.

Edgar set a Division 7 title game record with 36 points scored in the first half.
