Who should portray Dwyane Wade in sitcom?
On Tuesday it was announced that Dwyane Wade had sold a sitcom to FOX based on his life dubbed "Three the Hard Way."
The show will center around Daryl Wade, an NBA superstar responsible for raising his two sons as a single parent.
So who will portray Wade in the show?
"I don't know," Wade said. "It's hard. I have to sit down with the powers that be and come up with that list. It's hard to look out there and say, 'Who can play me?' I just want somebody that's good."
Well, Wade may not know, so we figured we can offer up some ideas.
1. Ray Allen -- If this is Allen's last season in the NBA, might Wade turn to Jesus Shuttlesworth to portray him?
2. Damon Wayans Jr. -- Now we know Wayans has comedy in his blood. He was hilarious on "Happy Endings" and recently joined the ensemble cast of the FOX comedy "New Girl." At 6-foot-1 he could pass for a basketball player.
3. Omar Epps -- He's probably best known now for portraying Dr. Eric Foreman on the FOX drama "House." Can he do comedy? We don't know, but he definitely has the look and style that Wade could appreciate.
4. Dave Chappelle -- Isn't about time he returned to television? It's been far too long since he closed shop on Chappelle's Show.
5. Morris Chestnut -- He has experience playing an athlete -- his first major role was as high school running back Ricky Baker in the 1991 movie "Boyz n the Hood." And in real life he has two children.
6. Kadeem Hardison -- He's probably a bit too old for the role, but how could we not mention the man who played a character by the name of Dwayne Wayne on the sitcom "A Different World" that ran from 1987 to 1993.
