Every superhero needs an able lieutenant or sidekick. Batman had Robin. The Green Hornet had Kato. And Kevin Durant has his own pretty solid wingman in Russell Westbrook.

Like his Oklahoma City Thunder teammate Durant, Westbrook is a mere 22 years old. He is just coming into his own in the NBA, averaging 21.9 points, 8.0 assists, 4.9 rebounds and two steals through 38 games. His scoring average is up almost six points a game from last year.

Westbrook and the Thunder no longer can surprise anyone thanks to their near-miss against the Lakers in the opening round of last year
