Many questions arose after Hurricane Sandy finished her visit to New York City, many questions about this weekend's sporting events arose. Once the NFL decided to play the game today between the New York Giants and Pittsburgh Steelers, those teams had to figure out how to keep their routines as regular as possible despite the obvious distractions Hurricane Sandy provided. NFL on Fox analyst Michael Strahan weighed in on this during the Fox pregame show this morning:
“For players, it’s a rhythm and it throws players off their rhythm to have to fly the morning of a game. What could be a bigger distraction than the Steelers flying today are the New York Giants players who are out of their homes, don’t have any power and had to worry about getting their families to safety. That could be more of a distraction for the Giants than the Steelers.”
Needless to say, we're happy that the game will go on, and wish everyone well who was affected by Hurricane Sandy.
