Welcome back, Big City.

The St. Louis Cardinals announced Wednesday that they have activated first baseman Matt Adams from the 60-day disabled list.

Adams has been out since May 27 with a right quad strain that required surgery. Prior to the injury, Adams was hitting .243 (35-144) with seven doubles, four home runs, 20 RBI and five game-winning RBI for the club. In total, Adams missed 91 games on the DL.

To make room for Adams on the 40-man roster, left-handed pitcher Nick Greenwood was designated for assignment.
