We finally have a release date for Nike's power-lacing sneakers

Nike unveiled the first iteration of its power-lacing sneakers at an event back in March, and six months later, we finally have a release date for the highly-anticipated kicks.

Appointments to experience and purchase the product, officially called the Nike HyperAdapt 1.0, begin on Nov. 28. Details on how to make an appointment, according to the company's news site, will be announced in the coming weeks.

The final edition of the power-lacing sneakers may not be exactly the same as the version we saw at the initial unveiling event. The man leading the project, famed Air Jordan designer Tinker Hatfield, called it "the most difficult in the history of footwear" in a recent interview with Wired. And Tiffany Beers, the engineer who is largely responsible for figuring out how to make these shoes a reality, has continued to make tweaks.

No word yet on a price tag for these, but everything about the HyperAdapt 1.0 — from the years it took to bring this product to market, to the research and development dollars invested, to appointment-only shopping — screams "extremely expensive."
