Watch: Vin Scully answers call for Presidential Medal of Freedom
Vin Scully will be honored with the Presidential Medal of Freedom from President Obama on Nov. 22
In a video shared by the Los Angeles Dodgers, Scully takes a call from White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest (a lifelong Kansas City Royals fan) to inform the longtime announcer about the honor.
Scully's response is as awesome as expected.
"Oh my gosh. No! Are you sure?” Scully says.

Harry S. Truman, Dwight Eisenhower, John F. Kennedy, Lyndon B. Johnson, Richard Nixon, Gerald Ford, Jimmy Carter, Ronald Reagan, George H.W. Bush, Bill Clinton, George W. Bush and Barack Obama were all in office during Scully's broadcasting career.
