WATCH: USC players go wild when they learn Clay Helton named full-time head coach

The USC Trojans football team braved a rocky start to its 2015 campaign that saw the Oct. 12 dismissal of head coach Steve Sarkisian after only one and a half seasons at the helm.
After Sarkisian's termination, interim head coach Clay Helton led the squad to a 5-2 record with victories over No. 3-ranked Utah and No. 22-ranked UCLA as they improved to 8-4 overall. Now USC will face No. 9 Stanford on Saturday in the Pac-12 championship.
On Monday, athletic director Pat Haden trimmed the prefix from Helton's title. Check out the moment when the players learned he got the gig full-time in the video above.
"After I observed Clay in action the last seven weeks, it became abundantly clear that what we were searching for in a coach was right here in front of us," Haden said.
If you can't be with the one you love, Haden, love the one you're with. At least the players do.
