Watch the quickest tap-out in the history of MMA

Mixed martial arts might best be described by a line in the 1987 film "Full Metal Jacket" -- a sport full of the phony tough and the crazy brave.
Any fighter willing to set foot in the cage to duel with another person should already have the respect of anyone and everyone watching them compete. But what happens if you step in there, look across the cage at your opponent and decide, "Never mind, I've got somewhere else to be."
As strange as it sounds, that actually happened over the weekend at an event in Belfast, Northern Ireland. In this bout, the bell rang and before the referee could move out of the way, the fight was over.
Check out the video below as evidence to the bizarre circumstance surrounding the fight:
It goes down as the fastest tap-out in the history of MMA, as fighter Alex McCooke pounds the canvas in submission before he can even get into the actual fight with his opponent.
As it turns out, McCooke's opponent, James Gallagher, just happens to be teammates with UFC bad boy Conor McGregor, who offered up his thoughts on the fight after it went down.
Either way, the fight is over and goes down as the fastest submission in MMA history.
