During a contest Thursday night against Avondale (Auburn Hills, Michigan), senior wide receiver James Lundy of the Troy High School Colts did his quarterback a favor with a spectacular one-handed grab in coverage.

Colts quarterback Scott Mittelbrun was under siege when he heaved the 38-yard pass. The result is a grab that looks a lot like Odell Beckham Jr.'s famous one-hander.

New Orleans Saints head coach Sean Payton recently called the one-handed phenomenon an "epidemic," referring to how he's seen high school kids warm up with one-handed grabs. He elaborated: "And for every one of those [one-handed catches] you're gonna see a number of balls on the ground," Payton said. "The second hand is obviously better. There's not many times where you can only get one hand on the ball."

Not to detract from Lundy's grab: It was incredible. It's hard to tell if the defender tangled up Lundy's left arm, preventing Lundy from getting the other paw on the ball. In any case, this is definitely one to bookmark for the end-of-season highlight reel.
