The Democrats and Republicans came together in Washington on Thursday for their Congressional Baseball Game, which took on heightened meaning after Wednesday's shooting in Alexandria, Va.

The honor of throwing out the first pitch went to one of the heroes in the aftermath of the attack, Capitol Police Officer David Bailey, who was wounded while rushing to the aid of Congressman Steve Scalise and others.

Bailey was joined by MLB's Joe Torre for the stirring moment.
