Wade Phillips seems to be learning the hard way how easy it is to get into trouble on Twitter.
On Thursday, the former Texans head coach raised a few eyebrows by tweeting a stat comparing his and current Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett's records through 56 games in Dallas.

Without and background, it would appear Phillips was trying to make a statement that he possibly shouldn't have been fired in 2010, or maybe that Garrett should be fired now.
But as the people of Twitter usually do, they quickly called him out. What comes next is the obligatory series of tweets explaining he didn't really mean it that way, he wishes the Jason Garrett and the Cowboys well, yada, yada, yada.
Friday, Phillips revisited the issue by tweeting more stats of of all the Cowboys' coaches and took fault for his 2010 1-7 start that lead to his firing. Then, he went on to say that he would have chosen his record as head coach of the Bills between 1998 and 2000. During that time, he went 29-19 and made two playoff appearances, as the one to spotlight.
Though we don't know why. His winning percentage with the Bills was about 66 percent while his percentage in Dallas was slightly less at about 65 percent. In Dallas he went further into the playoffs, losing in the division game twice, while he was ousted in the wild-card game while heading the Bills.
But he must be more proud of his time in Buffalo. But either way, hopefully Phillips has learned his Twitter lesson.
