DOHA, Qatar (AP) The World Anti-Doping Agency has approved the accreditation of a new laboratory located in Qatar's capital for anti-doping analysis.
The lab has successfully completed the requirements of WADA's accreditation process, which started in 2014.
WADA President Craig Reedie says that ''Qatar is a key player in the sporting world, and so its laboratory will play an increasingly important role in improving the anti-doping analytical capacities in Qatar and the wider Middle East region.''
The Qatari lab is the 35th in the world currently accredited by WADA and the eighth in Asia.
