The Reds (61-51) are hosting the AL West-leading Oakland A's (64-47) at 7:10 p.m. The first 30,000 fans through the gates get a bobblehead of the Reds' first baseman. The Reds are averaging 32,249 fans through their first 53 home dates this season, up from the 28,978 fans they averaged a season ago.
The Reds usually open up the gates for the general public 90 minutes before the scheduled first pitch but due to the large crowds that wrapped out to 2nd Street the club decided to open them up 20 minutes earlier.
