Vince Young gives us an old school performance at Lambeau
By Sid Saraf, FOXSports.com Vince Young has had a rough go of it during the last few years. He's been cut, had his sanity questioned and has bounced around the league. Now, he's in Green Bay after spending all of the 2012 season out of football. On Friday night against the Seahawks, Young got into the game in the third quarter. Lo and behold, the former BCS title winner looked sharp during his time on the field. His speed looked good as he ripped off a couple nice runs and he was accurate with his arm. He even piloted a scoring drive which ended with his 1-yard TD pass to Jonathan Amosa. His final stat line: 6 of 7 passing for 41 yards. He also rushed three times for 39 yards. By the way, Young's performance wasn't lost on the NFL intelligentsia:
Just needed a chance! This good enough to make it? RT @packers: Stats on #Packers QB Vince Young: 6-7, 41 yds, 1 TD, plus 3 rushes, 39 yards — Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet) August 24, 2013
It's good to see Vince getting it done. Hopefully he can stick with a team. Questions? Comments? Send them to lacesoutmail@gmail.com and we might respond in our weekly mailbag!
