The Minnesota Vikings will be keeping their options open on offensive tackle Mike Harris.

Minnesota tendered a right of first refusal offer to Harris on Tuesday, a source told FOXSportsNorth.com. Harris was a restricted free agent and the team needed to tender him an offer before the beginning of the new league year on Tuesday afternoon. The offer is worth $1.542 million.

Harris, 26, played in 12 games for the Vikings last season, starting five times. He was acquired off waivers before the season from the San Diego Chargers. Harris was a backup tackle to starters Matt Kalil and Phil Loadholt before being forced into the lineup at guard, his first experience at the position in the NFL.

Harris later finished the season as a starter at right tackle when Loadholt was placed on injured reserve. Harris has played in 32 NFL games over three seasons and made 17 starts.
