Vikings fill seven practice squad spots; one remains
The Minnesota Vikings brought back two 2013 draft picks they released on Saturday as part of the 8-man practice squad, with one spot left open. Minnesota announced its practice squad Sunday following Saturday's cuts to reach the 53-man roster limit. Each of the eight players on the Vikings practice squad were part of the team's final cuts. Included on the practice squad are offensive lineman Travis Bond and defensive tackle Everett Dawkins, both selected in the seventh round by Minnesota in April's draft.
The Vikings also re-signed running back Joe Banyard, tight end Chase Ford, offensive tackle Kevin Murphy, and receivers Rodney Smith and Adam Thielen. Banyard, Ford and Murphy were part of the practice squad last season too. Smith and Thielen are undrafted rookies.
