Vikings edged by Detroit 81-78

DETROIT (AP) -- Nick Minnerath scored a career-high 26 points and Eli Holman had 17 points and 11 rebounds as Detroit defeated Cleveland State 81-78 on Monday night.
Minnerath made 10 of 14 shots and Chris Blake scored 13 points, including a pair of free throws in the final second for the Titans (14-12, 8-6 Horizon), who have won three in a row. Holman, who had his 11th double-double of the season, blocked Norris Cole's 3-point attempt as time ran out.
Cole led Cleveland State (21-5, 10-4) with 27 points. The Vikings have dropped their last two after winning six straight.
Aaron Pogue and Jeremy Montgomery scored 15 points each for Cleveland State and Trevon Harmon added 13 points.
