EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. — The Minnesota Vikings added to their depth in the secondary Monday by signing defensive back Roderick Williams, who’s spent the past three seasons playing for the Edmonton Eskimos in the Canadian Football League.
Williams, 25, signed with Edmonton as a rookie free agent after going undrafted out of Alcorn State in 2010. Williams, 5-foot-11 and 180 pounds, had 44 tackles and four interceptions this past season for the Eskimos. He was named a CFL West Division all-star in 2011 with 44 tackles and six interceptions. In his three years with Edmonton, he had 111 tackles and 11 interceptions.
