Taylor Timko, a junior at Notre Dame Prep in Pontiac, Mich., has kicked before — on the soccer field.
She's such a talented soccer player, Timko made an oral commitment to the University of Michigan last winter, halfway through her sophomore year.
Now she's playing with the boys on the varsity football team, and she made an immediate impact in Notre Dame's season opener on Aug. 23.
Timko nailed a 35-yard field goal late in the fourth quarter to lead the Fighting Irish past Almont 17-14.
