Auburn has made an art out of the unbelievable -- and their latest act has vaulted them into the SEC Championship Game.

Chris Davis took a missed field-goal and ran it back 100-plus yards for a touchdown as time expired, giving the No. 4 Tigers a 34-28 win over top-ranked Alabama.

Davis caught the ball in the end zone after Crimson Tide freshman Adam Griffith missed a 57-yard field goal attempt. He cut down the left sideline and gave the Tigers a win that clinched the SEC West and a spot opposite either No. 5 Missouri or No. 10 South Carolina next weekend in Atlanta.

The improbable ending was the second in as many games for Auburn, which beat Georgia 43-38 off Nick Marshall's desperation pass, which was tipped by a Bulldogs defender and into the arms of Ricardo Louis for a 73-yard touchdown.

Inconceivable. Implausible. Unlikely. Whatever you want to call it, it's been the Tigers' season, as they went from 3-9 and 0-8 in the SEC in 2012 to ending their rival's bid for a third straight national title.

Now, the debate will rage over whether Auburn, should it win an SEC title, can play for a BCS crown. In all likelihood, Ohio State will move up to No. 2 when the rankings are released on Sunday night. If the Tigers win the SEC, can they move ahead of a potentially unbeaten Ohio State team?

It's only going to add further intrigue to the last week that we'll ever be sitting around waiting for the BCS Standings. What would be the end of a system that has generated so many debates without another one?
