Veteran defenseman Hal Gill signs with Preds

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- Veteran defenseman Hal Gill has signed a two-year, $4 million contract with the Nashville Predators.
The 37-year-old Gill was acquired by the Predators from Montreal in February and suited up for 23 regular season games and five in the playoffs.
Gill has played in 1,070 regular season games since 1997-98 and had 36 goals and 148 assists. He's also played for Boston, Toronto and Pittsburgh besides Montreal.
