Los Angeles will host the USA Track & Field national marathon championships in March.
Organizers said Wednesday that $150,000 will be awarded to Americans vying for national titles in the marathon, in addition to a guaranteed prize of $110,000 for the overall field.
The national championships will be held March 15 as part of the Los Angeles Marathon. The city is also host to the 2016 U.S. Olympic marathon trials.
