COLUMBUS, Ohio - Sophomore defensive back Najee Murray has been suspended from Ohio State's football team.
Multiple reports about Murray being dismissed surfaced over the weekend, but head coach Urban Meyer said Sunday at the team's annual preseason media day that Murray is "suspended...for a training camp issue."
Murray played in six games on special teams as a freshman last season before a knee injury ended his season. He came to camp competing for playing time in a crowded secondary. Ohio State has the benefit of veteran leadership in the secondary and talent coming from two straight stellar recruiting classes.
Meyer also announced that freshman defensive tackle Donovan Munger has received NCAA clearance and will join the team this week but has a blood clot issue and will not play in 2013.
