'Ultimate Fighter' Finale moves to Las Vegas, Ellenberger vs. Wonderboy set as main event

The upcoming "Ultimate Fighter" finale pitting American Top Team vs. the Blackzilians will cap off International Fight Week in Las Vegas as the card lands at the MGM Grand Garden Arena on July 12 with Jake Ellenberger taking on Stephen 'Wonderboy' Thompson in the main event.

UFC officials announced the switch on Friday.

Originally, "The Ultimate Fighter" finale was scheduled for July 12 in Miami, but with UFC 189: Aldo vs. McGregor taking place just 24-hours earlier across the country in Las Vegas, the promotion decided to make a change.

Now "The Ultimate Fighter" finale moves locations to Las Vegas as well as scoring a new main event.

Ellenberger vs. Thompson was originally scheduled for UFC 189, but now with the new card confirmed for July 12, the two welterweights will face off in a five-round battle on that card instead.

Also announced for the card is a welterweight matchup between Jorge Masvidal and Cezar "Mutante' Ferreira.

The finals for "The Ultimate Fighter" will also take place on July 12 with the fighters participating to be determined on the reality show, which is still currently airing on FOX Sports 1 every Wednesday night.
