CINCINNATI -- The University of Cincinnati football team will once again wear a new helmet for the 2013 Belk Bowl against North Carolina on Dec. 28, 2013 at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, N.C.
The Bearcats will take the field in Charlotte wearing a red chrome helmet with black C-paws and a claw mark stripe. UC worked with Hydro Graphics Inc., an Oregon based water transfer printing facility which utilized its proprietary HydroChrome® system of finishing to create the unique design.
The new-look helmets are available for purchase by fans for a $1,000 special contribution to UCATS, the proceeds of which will be earmarked for enhancements which will benefit all 18 varsity sports.
Cincinnati (9-3, 6-2 American) will close out the 2013 season against North Carolina (6-6, 4-4 ACC) in the Belk Bowl on Dec. 28 at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, N.C. The game will kick off at 3:20 p.m. ET, be televised by ESPN and broadcast on radio by 700 WLW AM.
