ARCADIA, Calif. (AP) U S Citizen rallied on the far outside to win the $58,000 feature by 1 1/2 lengths Friday at Santa Anita.
Ridden by Kent Desormeaux, U S Citizen ran 6 1/2 furlongs on the hillside turf course in 1:13.04 and paid $8.40, $3.80 and $2.60.
Skylander returned $3.40 and $2.60 as the 9-5 favorite, while Conscience was another head back in third and paid $2.60 to show.
The victory, worth $34,800, increased U S Citizen's career earnings to $168,635, with three wins in 21 starts.
