INDIANAPOLIS (AP) Former NCAA executive Tyler Lockhart has been named CEO of Advocates for Athletic Equity.

The group was formed last year as part of a restructuring of the Black Coaches & Administrators.

Lockhart played on Georgetown's 1984 national championship team and was a member of the Hoyas' national runner-up team the following season. He also has been director of basketball operations at George Washington, an assistant men's basketball coach at Texas A&M-Kingsville, with the U.S. Olympic Committee and as USA Boxing's executive director in 2005.
