The Minnesota Twins have signed first-round pick Alex Kirilloff, the team announced on Thursday.

The 15th overall pick in the first-year draft, Kirilloff was the 14th best prospect available according to Baseball America after hitting .544 with a .645 on-base percentage for Plum High School (Pennsylvania) last season.

Kirilloff pitched and played both first base and in the outfield for Plum, but projects as an outfielder at the MLB level.

Plum lost in the PIAA AAAA title game last week, just their second lost of the season.

An All American in 2016, Kirilloff also won the 2015 Perfect Game All-American Classic Home Run Challenge in 2015, hitting 34 home runs.
