Twins option Meyer to Triple-A, set to recall Graham

The Twins plan to recall right-handed reliver J.R. Graham from Triple-A Rochester and have optioned Tuesday's starter, Alex Meyer, to the Red Wings.

Graham is 0-2 with a 10.80 ERA in eight appearances this year for Rochester. The 26-year-old former Rule 5 pick posted a 4.95 ERA in 63 2/3 innings and 39 appearances for the Twins last year after they drafted him in December 2014.

Meyer made two appearances and posted a 0-1 record with a 12.27 ERA since the Twins recalled him April 25. He pitched 2 2/3 innings Tuesday, allowing three runs and three hits with four strikeouts and three walks.

The 26-year-old Meyer is 1-1 with a 1.04 ERA in 17 1/3 innings for Rochester this year.
