Twins announce 2017 spring training schedule


The Cleveland Indians and the Chicago Cubs are still duking it out in a dramatic World Series, but spring training is already on the horizon.
The Minnesota Twins announced their 2017 spring training schedule Monday, revealing that pitchers and catchers report Feb. 13, while the full squad will convene on Feb. 18.
The Twins will play 18 games at home and 17 on the road in 2017, beginning with their home opener against the Tampa Bay Rays on Friday, Feb. 24 in Fort Myers, Florida.
The Twins' schedule includes a pair of World Baseball Classic teams as well as an exhibition matchup against their Triple-A affiliate, the Rochester Red Wings.
Minnesota takes on Team USA on March 8, before facing Team Colombia on March 9, followed by a game against the Red Wings on March 31.
