TV Plans for the Season

We're in the "less than a week" countdown to opening night for the Grizzlies 10th Anniversary season. It figures to be a remarkable season because this could well be the year the Grizzlies return to the post-season party.
It is already remarkable in that all Grizzlies telecasts will be available in high definition and the 73 locally-produced telecasts will all be on SportSouth -- no more toggling between FSN-Tennessee and SportSouth.
What else can you look for?
Obviously we're bringing a new game analyst into the fold in the person of Brevin Knight. BK worked on Charlotte Bobcats radio broadcasts last season and I believe that he'll develop into a very good analyst. As someone who's played the NBA game and only recently retired from the league, Brevin will have keen insight into today's NBA and current players. Sean Tuohy will join me on selected games throughout the season. And by the way, don't read anything into his reduced schedule: he simply wants to have time to watch his son SJ play basketball and baseball for Briarcrest.
I'd like to urge everyone who hasn't already done so to check out the 30-minute "Grizzlies Live" pre-game show. It's always been jam-packed with inside information about the Grizzlies both on and off the court. This season, we're enhancing our efforts to make "Grizzlies Live" must-see hoops TV with a new look and a stronger creative approach that will also impact the game telecasts themselves.
Fox Sports (which is the parent of SportSouth) put a lot of time and effort into creating new openings for the telecasts that will reinforce the Memphis Grizzlies identity. They are spectacularly done and I know you'll enjoy them.
We'll also get into social networking and hope to get your input via question or comment that we can address either on "Grizzlies Live" or during the game telecasts themselves. Stay locked on to grizzlies.com and foxsportstennessee.com for further details.
It should be a very special season on many fronts. Make sure to mark your calendar to join us for "Grizzlies Live" as well as the games themselves all season long on SportSouth.
