TUF Talk: Nathan Coy: Blackzilians 'are weak minded,' 'it shows in their title fights'

Published Jun. 24, 2015 10:51 p.m. ET

In a do-or-die situation, American Top Team captain Nathan Coy pulled off possibly the biggest win of the season as he kept his team alive with a decision win over Valdir "BB Monster" Araujo during Wednesday night's episode.

Coy came up short in his first fight, but when the chips were down he was the person who wanted the call to save the day and help American Top Team get one bout closer to tying the competition.

During the episode and before the fight, Blackzilians owner Glenn Robinson was very vocally touting his team, even offering the fighters from American Top Team to come train at "a real gym."

Coy took exception to Robinson's words and now that he's seeing how everything plays out on television vs. living in the house, his entire opinion of the Blackzilians has changed. While he didn't go into the show with any kind of personal grudge, Coy says Robinson and some of the Blackzilians forced his opinion to change dramatically.

"They have to resort to excuses. They have to try and make our team look bad. They're weak minded and I think it shows in their title fights and it will show overall in life," Coy said on the latest edition of TUF Talk.  "They don't have what it takes. They might have a couple of studs over there, but they're not American Top Team."

Coy will talk about his fight with "BB Monster" and also his expectations for the final two fights of the season as well, where American Top Team has the chance to come back and steal the competition.
