Tribal Gal led all the way to win the $75,250 Orange County Stakes by a half-length at Los Alamitos on Sunday.

Ridden by Rafael Bejarano, Tribal Gal ran six furlongs in 1:08.73, equaling the track record set two days earlier by Regally Soul. She paid $4.60, $3.40 and $2.40 as the 13-10 favorite.

Maker Or Breaker returned $6.20 and $3.20, while Wild in the Saddle was another half-length back in third and paid $3.80 to show.

The victory was Tribal Gal's eighth in 19 career starts, with earnings of $303,505.

Tasty Treat was pulled up by jockey Martin Pedroza with just less than a quarter of a mile left in the race. Track stewards said the 5-year-old mare had to be euthanized after breaking her left front sesamoid bones, which help keep the tendons and ligaments that run between them correctly functioning.
