Tony Romo listed as probable for Sunday's game against Jaguars
The Cowboys listed Tony Romo as "probable" for Sunday's game against Jacksonville after the quarterback participated in a second day of practice in London.
The NFL defines probable as "virtual certainty player will be available for normal duty."
After taking his scheduled day off Wednesday, Romo was listed as a limited participant in Thursday's practice. However, he was listed as full participant Friday.
Romo is recovering from a pair of transverse process fractures in his lower back, sustained two games ago. He was able to return to action with the help of a pain-killing injection, however he missed the following game against Arizona.
While in London, Romo said he was able to practice without needing an injection. It remains unclear if he will get an injection before Sunday's game in historic Wembley Stadium. The injury is described as painful and slow to heal, but there is little risk of further damage if an athlete continues to play with it.
Romo has had two surgeries on his back the last two offseasons. The first was to remove a cyst, then last December Romo had disc surgery which has forced him to change the way he prepares to play. Romo, coach Jason Garrett and owner Jerry Jones have all said the latest injury is not related to the previous surgeries.
In other news, middle linebacker Rolando McClain was listed as questionable -- meaning he has a 50/50 chance of playing -- after not practicing all week with a knee injury. McClain has played this season while missing practice with a groin injury that continues to bother him.
Defensive end Tyrone Crawford, who also suffered a knee injury last week, is listed as out for Sunday's game.
Defensive tackle Nick Hayden returned to practice Friday in a limited capacity. Hayden, who has a shoulder injury, is listed as questionable.
Crawford and McClain were the only Cowboys who did not practice Friday.
