The Arizona State's men's hoops team (9-13; 1-9 in the Pac-10) goes across the Bay for a 4 p.m. game today against Stanford (11-10, 4-6. The game will be televised by FOX Sports Arizona.

ASU is 2-2 at Stanford under fifth-year Sun Devil head coach Herb Sendek and has won the past two on the The Farm.

ASU lost a tough 66-62 game at Cal on Thursday, as it led 59-52 with about six minutes left but could not hit a big basket late. The Sun Devils have lost their past three games by seven total points, but have done some good things as of late. ASU is 35 of 77 (.455) from the three-point stripe in past four games and is averaging just 9.9 turnovers per tilt in the past seven games. Also, sophomore Trent Lockett is averaging 17 points per tilt in the past four outings and leads the Sun Devils in scoring with a 14.1 average. Jeremy Green leads Stanford with a 14.5 scoring average.

Stanford defeated ASU 55-41 on Jan. 6 as ASU had season-lows for points (41), field goals (17), three-pointer shooting (1 of 14), assists (10), blocks (none) and points in a half (10). ASU shot .269 from the field in the second half (7 of 26). The Sun Devils had 15 turnovers and made only 17 field goals as starting point guard Jamelle McMillan sat out with a groin injury.

ASU swept the regular season series from Stanford last year but fell 70-61 in the Pac-10 Tournament.

Entering this season ASU was 14-22 (.389) in the first half of Pac-10 play under Coach Sendek but 20-16 (.556) in the second half. 4
