Titus Young practices with Lions
ALLEN PARK, Mich. -- Receiver Titus Young, a second-round pick in 2011,
returned to practice Wednesday after being told to stay away from the
team the previous nine days for disciplinary reasons.
“We needed
some time apart to get some stuff straight,” coach Jim Schwartz said.
“He came out today and worked hard, did his job. That’s what we expect
of him.”
Asked whether Young will play Sunday against Indianapolis,
Schwartz said, “Too soon to tell. We’ll see as we get later in the
week.”
Young, whose moodiness and immaturity has been a source of
concern since he joined the Lions, wasn’t available for comment. He is
expected to talk with the media on Friday.
Young’s long-term future
with the club remains unclear. Even if the Lions want to get rid of him
after the season, it only makes sense to bring him back for the last few
games to try to keep his trade value from dropping too much.
EXTRA POINT
Running back Mikel Leshoure didn't participate in Wednesday's practice and was listed with an ankle injury on the team's daily update. Schwartz provided no details on Leshoure's status. The official injury report for the upcoming game is released Friday afternoon.
