Last spring noted car aficionado Justin Verlander showed off his new Lamborghini Aventador but said he was in the market for an American muscle car.
With the North American International Auto Show opening in Detroit this week, someone on Twitter asked Verlander if he might want to add the Ford GT supercar to his burgeoning collection.

Verlander liked the idea so much that he appealed to Ford on Twitter.
"How do I go about getting on the list for one of these beauties?" Verlander tweeted.

The 600-horsepower Ford GT is expected to come out in 2016.
