Thunder D-League team gets new name
The Oklahoma City's Developmental Basketball League team moved from Tulsa this offseason and now the team has a new name.
Wednesday the Thunder officially changed the name from the 66ers to the Blue.
The team will play most of its games at the Cox Center in downtown Oklahoma City, right next door to where the Thunder play at Chesapeake Energy Arena.

The uniforms have not been revealed yet.
"Blue is one of our primary Thunder colors, but it has become more than a color for us," said Brian Byrnes, Thunder vice president for sales and marketing. "Our players wear it proudly, our fans sport Thunder blue shirts, Thunder blue flags fly across Oklahoma. It's only fitting our developmental team be call the Blue to represent the cohesion it has with the Thunder."
